The last thing I imagined myself doing on a luxurious adults’ only weekend away at one of the most exclusive properties in the world was burpees on the beach at sun rise. When we checked into our private castle and saw our giant puffy white bed, nestled in the lap of interior designed luxury, looking out onto one of South Africa’s most spectacular beaches, I rather imagined a long and lazy lie in watching dolphins playing in the surf.

There is one sure way to get even the shyest of introverts yelling and guffawing with gusto and that is at Adrenalin Addo with the highest, longest and fastest double zip line in South Africa. We hollered our way down the zip line a couple of years ago and when we heard about their newest offering, a Superman harness, we knew immediately that this was going to be the best year-end stress reliever possible.
Continue reading…Groendal Wilderness is a verdant, craggy little piece of pristine paradise, just North of Uitenhage in the Eastern Cape. We had been longing to head out there and take a look and explore some if its hiking trails. The area is known for its rugged beauty and boasts a few multi-day hiking trails and one day trail – the Lower Blindekloof. With just one sunny Sunday free, we packed our bags and headed out early to explore the crags and mountain pools.
